Mike Schuler, Ph.D.
After a competitive swimming career at the University of Louisville, Mike left the pool deck to earn degrees in Philosophy and Business, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Development. Over the past 25 years, he has facilitated large-scale organizational change with clients from diverse sectors including government, banking, health care, education, technology, and energy. He specializes in leading executives toward psychological safety; to mitigate crisis and to facilitate change management initiatives.

Mike is an adjunct professor at Aquinas College in the Masters of Management program, teaching Organizational Theory and Organizational Behavior, Business Ethics, and Applied Statistics. He maintains membership in the American Psychological Association. He’s passionate about community-building so he does pro-bono work at Steepletown Neighborhood Services, The Well Being Foundation, and is on the Deans Council at the University of Louisville. Mike lives in West Michigan with his wife, professor Katie Kalisz, and their three children, Maeve, Huck, and Hudson.
Laura Holtrop
Laura Holtrop is a management professional with 15 years of international business experience; serving in leadership roles in Sales, IT, Government Relations, and Project Management. She has a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Management. She has traveled and worked extensively with multi-national teams to build systems, solve problems, launch products, develop programs, grow sales and build better organizations. She specializes in aligning execution and strategy, and moving “stuck” projects forward. Laura lives in Grand Rapids with her husband, daughter and blind cat, and is always looking for ways to spend more time outdoors.
William Van Zytveld
As our project manager, William Van Zytveld analyzes and presents data and for team reports, customizes leadership development program material, and provides project management support. William earned his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish (minors in Business and Music) and an MBA with a concentration in Data Analytics, both through Calvin University. William enjoys working at the intersection of data and human resources, finding ways to create a more inclusive, healthy, and resourceful workplace environment. In his free time, William enjoys playing piano, analyzing films, and making excuses for a second helping of coffee lovers’ dream ice cream.
